Note: pop.yourdomain is the example for your email server. Place in pop.<your website name>
For example: support@sbwh.com would have a mail sever (incoming and outgoing) as pop.sbwh.com
To change an existing account:
- From the Entourage menu, choose Account Settings.
- Highlight your account and click on the Edit Button.
To add smtp outgoing authentication:
- Click the Click here for advanced sending options button.
- Check SMTP server requires authentication
- Click use same settings as receiving mail server.
To setup a new account:
- Open Entourage.
- From the Entourage menu, choose Account Settings.
- Click the Mail button and click on New button.
- Enter your full email address in the Email address: field.
- Click on Configure account manually.
- Enter Your Name as you want it to appear.
- Enter your full email address in the Email address: field.
- Enter your full email address in the Account ID: field.
- Enter your email password in the Password: field
- Check Save password in Mac OS X keychain
- Enter mail.yourdomain.com in the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP) server: field.
- Select POP3
- Enter mail.yourdomain.com in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field.
- Click on the Right arrow to continue.
- Click on the Right arrow to continue.
- Enter a name for the Account Name: for entourage to display.
- Click on the Finish button.
- From the Entourage menu, choose Account Settings.
- Highlight your account and click on the Edit Button.
- Click the Click here for advanced sending options button.
- Check SMTP server requires authentication
- Click use same settings as receiving mail server.
- (Optional): If your ISP blocks port 25 for outgoing mail, check Override default SMTP Port field change the port number from 25 to 2525
- Click the close Icon
- Click Ok
Your account should now be ready to use.
